A Rebrand That Matches from the Inside-Out

I just put the finishing touches on the website and I’M IN LOVE! If you’ve been following along for a while, you might’ve caught the past few website tweaks here and there (Ok, there were four 🤭). I shared a bit in our last two monthly newsletters that some changes that were coming, but I am feeling a strong pull to give you more detail on why. 

Last November I made the decision to move my office back into my home and out of the space that had hosted it for the better part of the year. Initially I felt torn about the decision. It was beautiful and had great energy that felt very serene. My clients loved it, too. That being said, each time I would go to work, I would essentially “blank out”. In other words, when I was there I felt very little inspiration for creating content and offerings. It was the strangest thing. How could I not feel compelled to create high-vibe content while in such a comforting place? 🤯 Ironically, my creative flow would always come to me while I was home and doing things like mopping, laundry, and my day-to-day activities. I found myself working from home more and more often. What essentially “sealed the deal” on the decisions was when I reached out to the landlord and she let me know that my office spaced would be “dissolved” into an office expansion from a larger company next door to me. Ha! I took it as a sign that I was on the right track and moved everything back home. Which for the most part, has been an incredible choice. Great, albeit complicated…

Once I made the move, I realized that my now “home business” was going to need a complete overhaul.  My website and Insta brand were all photos from the office, and the entire color scheme was based on those photos 🙄. It felt a little like everything I had worked so hard on the last year, was about to go right out of the window. But then I realized, this was an incredible opportunity for me to align the brand in a way that I hadn’t in a long time. To really show how I felt on the inside, on the outside. The question was… how DID I feel on the inside? Well, I felt like I needed to show a more authentic, natural, representation of my lifestyle. Something that would highlight me as a mama, homemaker, and convey my love of nature, while also giving a clean, crisp, and organized vibe (#goals). 

I bet you are thinking at this point “Does anyone really care about this?” Which brings me to a point that I really want to make very clear here… If you ever find yourself down a road that you have been down a while, and you stop, look around and think to yourself “Where the hell am I going?” It’s absolutely OK to make a hard U-turn and turn the whole train around. Not only is it OK, but it doesn’t mean that the time spent down that road was a waste. It means you’ve grown. It means you’re paying attention to that inner part of you that often, our egos will ignore. And even if it takes a ton of work, the work is worth it.  

Are you on the road that inspires growth and a deep inner congruency? I hope that you are. But, just in case you aren’t, I hope you know it’s OK to turn that train around. No matter how long you’ve been going down that track or how much work it will take. You’ve got this. We all can do hard things.
